‘Experts’ say thinking broadly consists of two essential processes: searching and reflecting.

The historic statement that what we think about defines what we become has been said by countless writers and philosophers. One entrepreneur was able to think about how to package and market this historic way of thinking  in ‘The Secret.’ Making him millions of dollars in 2007. Some think this is absurd since it a fundamental way of thinking that has been around for thousands of years. Dale Carnegie was thinking about this ideal in 1940s and writes about it in one of his books.

-One woman in Oklahoma was recently noted in the newspaper for saying her thinking about some new shoes made the fact that they were at the store in her size come true! All thanks to thinking about ‘The Secret.’

It is a fact that Our brains can only think of one thing at a time. Therefore, if we are thinking good things - we cannot be thinking bad things. So think positive!

Good Thinking is an ambiguous term and will mean something different to everyone. For some, good thinking is a new fur coat and for someone else good thinking is an animal running wild and free. What are good things you think about?

Many people will not think wine and cheese is very good thinking.

Think about this! Wine and cheese are both thought of as ‘better’ when aged. A ‘good’ snack of wine and cheese could include food that is more than a hundred years old. A Twinkie might be the only other thing to think could last that long and still be edible.

People in the United States think of  the Twinkie as the quintessential junk food.
The Twinkie originally contained a banana-cream filling, but people didn’t think it was very good. Do you think you know how the Twinkies is made? You might think you do, but you don’t because Continental Foods has never revealed how the Twinkie is made.

One urban legend has us thinking a single Twinkie, removed from all packaging, did not spoil for 30 years. In 1979 a criminal attorney tried thinking of defense based around the bad effects of eating too many Twinkies. The jury thought it was good thinking.

The name of the character in this design is TAT for the ‘Active Thinker.’ Think of him as a ‘loose’ interpretation of ‘The Thinker.’

The Thinker’ (French: "Le Penseur") is a bronze sculpture by Auguste Rodin. It depicts a man in sober meditation battling with a powerful internal struggle. It's sometimes used to represent philosophy.

The first large-scale bronze cast of ‘The Thinker’ was finished in 1902 and quickly moved into the popular imagination, as an immediately recognizable icon of intellectual activity.

Other artists have used monkeys, skeletons and dogs to represent the ‘thinker.’

Think about this! The human brain is three times larger than that of a chimpanzee. The brain of a 45 pound dog would weigh about 3 to 3 ½ oz. In contrast a human's brain weighs about 3 pounds. Skeletons don’t have brains.

-Some people think dogs are smarter than cats.....

Doctors think a strong mind needs to be active. Hard work, puzzles, games and trivia help keep a mind active. The older people get the more important it is to think about keeping the mind active.

-The Alzheimer’s Association today reports that in 2007 there are now more than 5 million people in the United States living with Alzheimer’s disease. Estimates also have us thinking it is estimated that someone in America develops Alzheimer’s every 72 seconds. Nobody has been able to think of a cure for Alzheimer’s.

-Really good thinking will help find a cure....
